Mater Ocean Outdoor Bench
Originally created in 1955 by Danish designers Jørgen and Nanna Ditzel, the Ocean Collection has been thoughtfully reimagined for modern outdoor living including the large bench.
The green edition of the Ocean bench is made from recycled medical plastic waste, including items such as discarded insulin pens. Thanks to new technology, these materials can now be safely decontaminated and transformed, giving plastics once destined for incineration a second life.
Every piece in the Ocean Collection is designed for easy disassembly. This means each component can be returned to its purest form and recycled into future production, supporting a circular approach to design.
