Artek Umbrella Stand 115

The Artek Umbrella Stand was designed by Alvar Aalto in 1936.

Unique among the current Artek collection, this umbrella stand combines the strength of birch wood and the looks of brass in a structure composed of three solid birch pillars united by two hand-bent lamella loops.

Fitted inside the triangular base, the brass pan catches any falling drops of rainwater which means over its lifetime the brass will develop a unique rich patina.
