Vitra Eames RE PACC Plastic Armchair Fully Upholstered

The Eames Plastic PACC Armchair with the upholstered inner seat shell on a height adjustable five star base is from the same family of chairs as the Eames Plastic Side chairs.

It has increased height in the sides of the chair to provide built in armrests and an additional seat shell increases overall comfort for extended use.

These organically shaped chairs were first created by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950 as part of the New York Museum of Modern Art's "low cost furniture design" competition.

They have evolved from the original design with a variety of different bases and the seat shells are now made from recycled consumer plastic.
