Vitra Eames RE DAX Plastic Armchair Upholstered Seat

Eames Plastic DAX Armchairs with the upholstered seat pad on a four leg base are from the same family of chairs as the Eames Plastic Side chairs.

The increased height in the sides of the chairs provides built in armrests and the additional upholstered seat pad increases overall comfort.

These organically shaped chairs were first created by Charles and Ray Eames in 1950 as part of the New York Museum of Modern Art's "low cost furniture design" competition. They have evolved from the original design with a variety of different bases and the seat shells are now made from recycled consumer plastic.

Key Features:

  • Original Eames product
  • Choice of glides
  • Choice of leg base finishes
  • Choice of seat shell colours made with post consumer recycled plastic, 100% recyclable with matching upholstery

Wellworking Says...

"An Eames classic design with a four leg base with the addition of an upholstered seat pad and now made in a more environmentally friendly way using waste plastics."
