The Vitra Tip Ton still defines a whole seating concept, a solid plastic chair with forward-tilt action that is also stackable.
Designed by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, its name refers to the two types of sitting experiences - from a normal position or tilted a few degrees forward, where it then stays in place. The innovation behind this seemingly simple feature lies in the skid base, which rises at a nine-degree angle.
Tip Ton is an outstanding dining table or occasional home-office solution and, thanks to its stackability, it is also ideal for use in restaurants, conference or meeting spaces and schools.
