Vitra HAL Studio Multipurpose Chair
Jasper Morrison has expanded the Vitra HAL family with a new variation on the theme. The Studio version comes with a height adjustable, swivel 'Five Star' base that works well as an occasional chair that is equally useful in both the home and office.
Based on the HAL seat shell, he has developed an organic one-piece shell that takes on a look of its own through the curved armrests 'growing' out from the sides. The design still bears a clear family resemblance to the rest of the Vitra HAL range.
The shell construction responds to the physical forces operating on the seat and provides stability and comfort. It's made from RE plastic, a 100% recycled material made from household waste.
